No Couch Co-op in Big Walk (PS5, PC & Switch 2)
No—Big Walk has no couch co-op, local co-op, or LAN on PS5, PC, or Switch 2. Online-only for 2–12 players, one device per player. See player count and local multiplayer.
Quick answer: no couch co-op on PS5, PC, or Switch 2
Big Walk does not support couch co-op, local co-op, or LAN play. It is online co-op only, for 2 to 12 players, with crossplay across Windows, macOS, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2. There is no way to sit two players on one couch or one console.

Why Big Walk skips local co-op
The absence of local play is intentional. Big Walk is built around proximity voice chat: your voice changes with distance, echoes through corridors, muffles behind walls, and crackles over walkie-talkies. Solving how to reach a teammate who cannot hear you is a central mechanic.
If players shared a room, they would just talk in person and bypass the in-game systems. House House goes as far as recommending you avoid out-of-game communication, including playing in the same physical space.
How to play with friends in the same room
"Same room" still means one device per player, connected through online co-op:
- The host starts the session and keeps the shared save.
- Each other player launches Big Walk and selects Join Game.
- Same platform? Join from the in-game friends list.
- Different platforms? Use the host's Join Code from the session menu.
The Mac App Store build does not support Game Center, so on that version the friends list will not show — use a Join Code instead. Full steps are in joining and hosting.
