Yes, Big Walk supports crossplay

The official FAQ confirms that players on different supported systems can play together. That matters because Big Walk launches across Windows, macOS, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2.

How a mixed-platform group joins

If the host and guest are already friends on the same platform network, the hosted game can appear in the friends-game menu. For people who are not connected through the same platform friends list, the host can share a short Join Code generated for that session.

  1. Decide who will keep the long-term save.
  2. That person starts the session as host.
  3. Choose the world version for 2, 3, or 4+ players.
  4. Friends join through the visible friends session or the Join Code.

What crossplay does not include

Crossplay does not mean random matchmaking. Big Walk has no automatic stranger-matching queue. It is built as a longer cooperative journey for a group that plans to return across multiple sessions.

Crossplay also does not change save ownership. The original host remains the keeper of progress, so choose someone who can reliably start future sessions.

Pre-session checklist

Confirm that everyone owns a supported version, has completed any platform account requirements, and can use the in-game voice or text chat. Avoid relying on an outside voice call: Big Walk intentionally changes how communication works at different distances and in different situations.
